EDUCATION COMES FROM THE OTHER

News

Knowledge is the result of collective construction: “nobody educates anyone, men educate themselves in communion”, said the Brazilian Paulo Freire. The education of one being originates in the other relationships, whether it is family, friendship, love or work. Knowledge is formed in the practice of these relationships and produces changes in each being, awakening self-awareness and reinforcing one’s identity. The “me” is a piece of the world. To live is to coexist. Without relationships, the human being is incomplete. These Freirian notions are in tune with the concepts that guide the studies of the agora.
